Congratulations on your new tattoo! 

When it comes to the second skin or saran wrap that may have been applied, we recommend following these guidelines:

If you have the second skin on:

• It's advisable to leave it on for a maximum of two days.
• If saran wrap was used, it's recommended to remove it within two hours to prevent moisture buildup.

To remove the second skin:

• Rinse the area thoroughly with lukewarm water.
• Gently peel off the second skin.

Avoid re-bandaging the tattoo after removal. Any liquid within the second skin is completely normal, this will come off once the bandage is removed.

Properly cleaning your tattoo is indeed crucial for its healing process! 

Here's a recommended cleaning routine:

1. Rinse your tattoo gently with warm water.
2. Apply a small amount of unscented soap to the tattoo and lightly lather.
3. Rinse off the soap thoroughly with water.
4. Pat dry the tattoo with a clean towel. 
5. Once the tattoo is dry, apply a thin layer of unscented lotion or tattoo balm to keep it moisturized

Use unscented products to avoid any potential irritation. 

Repeat these steps twice a day.

The healing process may look a little scary but don't be concerned! 

After a few days of removing the second skin, the tattoo may start to scab. 

This is a sign of the tattoo starting to heal.

During this time we advise you to continue with our cleaning instructions until the tattoo is done scabbing. 

Remember, scabbing is a normal part of the healing process, and it may take some time for the scabs to fully resolve. Be patient and resist the urge to itch or pick at the tattoo.

Tattoos tend to heal within two weeks to a month, it may vary depending on the person.

After a few weeks, your tattoo should be scab free and completely healed!

To prevent potential fading, it's important to protect your tattoo from direct sunlight. You can use sunscreen on the healed tattoo to provide an additional layer of protection.

In the event of any fading or incomplete areas on your tattoo, we offer one free touch-up within three months of your initial appointment. Please note that this offer does not apply to tattoos on the face, hands, or feet placements. 

If you notice any issues with your tattoo, feel free to reach out to your tattoo artist or the studio to schedule a touch-up session.

Do's:

• Eat well and stay hydrated before your appointment.
• Protect your tattoo from dirty environments and direct sunlight.
• Reschedule if you have upcoming travels.

Don'ts:

• Avoid alcohol and medication prior to your appointment.
• Do not submerge your tattoo in water (bathes, pools, lakes etc.) or expose it to excessive sweating.
• Avoid using Vaseline or petroleum-based products.
• Do not itch or pick at the tattoo during healing.

If you notice any areas of fading or incompleteness, please don't hesitate to contact your tattoo artist or the shop to arrange a retouch appointment.

We provide ONE free touch-up session within three months of your initial appointment to address any necessary adjustments.

Please note that this offer excludes face, hands, or feet placements. If it has been more than three months since your appointment, there will be a charge for the retouch service.
